SHIPPING

All items are shipped UPS Ground or USPS Priority, depending on rates and timeline. Delivery can be expected within 2-10 business days from the date of shipment. A tracking number and confirmation email are provided upon shipping. I try to use as many recycled materials as possible to reduce waste and keep shipping + handling costs low. This means a previously used box or packing materials may be used.

Full transparency, shipping costs for webshop orders are a flat rate of $12 per order plus $2 per item. This covers both shipping + handling. Some larger items or sets available in the shop will incur additional shipping fee’s (via email communication so there isn’t a lot of overage being paid at the time of purchase). These numbers can fluctuate based on the costs of packaging materials and shipping rates.

Please email me if you need to combine multiple orders shipped to the same address. I will refund a portion of the additional shipping fees but likely not all. More items can mean higher shipping fees due to increased package size, weight and materials needed to safely ship.

For special requests please EMAIL ME. This could include - combining multiple orders, holding your order or updating your shipping address, etc.

LOCAL PICKUP

Please use discount code ‘LOCALPICKUP’ at checkout to avoid shipping fees + pickup from my studio in SE Portland near 100th and Holgate. An email with instructions will be sent when your order is ready to be picked up. Availability is limited, please be flexible OR pay for shipping for the best convenience :)

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

All orders are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged - even if it hasn’t shipped yet.
If something arrives broken, please take a photo and EMAIL ME, we will work something out :)

READY-TO-SHIP / MADE-TO-ORDER

All Ready-to-Ship orders will ship within one to two weeks of purchase, unless otherwise noted.

For all custom or made-to-order pieces, please allow an estimated 6 - 8 weeks for production and shipping. This includes all preorder items as well, unless otherwise noted.

WEBSHOP RESTOCKS

Times, dates, previews and announcements will always be shifting month-to-month. All webshop restocks will be announced a few days before the drop via instagram stories, posts or a newsletter. Previews will also be available this way, too. Quantities will always be limited as I make things in small batches…

On occasion, newsletter subscribers will receive a password for early access to the webshop on drop days. Sign up for my newsletter here.

Webshop updates happen at random depending on what other projects are going on at that time. The updates include a variety of ready-to-ship pieces (+ any seconds or one-off’s that are available).

On shopping day, your cart does NOT hold items for you while you browse the webshop. This feature is not available on the shop platform and is completely out of my control. Apple Pay does allow you to streamline the checkout process (“Apple Pay simplifies the checkout process by letting shoppers instantly purchase from anywhere using the payment and shipping information saved with Apple Pay.” - SQ website). Additionally, you could have your info ready on a desktop sticky note, for example, to copy/paste during the checkout process. Either way, sometimes items move QUICKLY and will sell out prior to checking out. Again, I have no control over the shop/cart platform but I am sorry for any inconvenience or frustrations this might cause. I will update this if I find any other tips and tricks.

SECONDS

Sometimes things don’t work out how you want them to but that doesn’t always mean they’re unusable or pretty! A ‘second’ is a ceramic item that is imperfect and sold at a discount. These items are still functional and safe to use but don’t meet my quality expectations to be sold as ‘firsts'. This could include shape variations such as warping, glaze defects, minor cracks, etc. Sometimes these things are uncontrollable due to the materials and firing. However, some are due to worn down tools or human error. Every second listed will include a description of why it’s deemed as so with a price that reflects that.

HANDMADE GOODS

Due to the handmade nature of ceramics, shapes, sizes (1/4 of an inch or so), finishes and glazes (colors) will vary from piece-to-piece.

Everything is handmade by me. Variation between pieces and batches (pieces are made in small batches) is embraced and to be expected - that’s part of the magic of this material and process. Sizes and shapes will always be approximate and rarely ‘exact.’ Finishes and glazes (colors) will always vary - some surface areas will be more opaque while others more semitransparent. Additionally, remember that the colors you see on your screen aren’t always exact…

I take care to sand each piece - some need more sanding than others which will sometimes be visible. Rest assured, there is nothing wrong with your item, I just don’t want it to scratch your table!

When placing larger custom orders or ordering multiple items from my webshop, I try to sort pieces to match the ‘set’ as best as I can.

Please don’t forget that everything is handmade and essentially one-of-a-kind. I do my best to represent each item accordingly online.

CARE OF GOODS SUGGESTIONS

All ceramics are made for day-to-day use and are food, dishwasher and microwave safe. However, hand washing is recommended. Avoid exposing ceramics to any sudden or drastic changes in temperature. Ceramic surfaces could benefit from a baking soda (or Bar Keeper’s Friend) scrub from time-to-time.
